Civil War US Sky Blue Wool Covered Canteen | Authentic Reproduction

Step back into American history with the Civil War US Sky Blue Wool Covered Canteen — an authentic replica crafted for collectors, re-enactors, and military history enthusiasts who demand period accuracy in every detail.

Modelled faithfully after the regulation canteens issued to Union Army soldiers during the American Civil War (1861–1865), this replica features a striking sky blue wool cover — the iconic colour associated with the Union infantryman's field kit. The tightly woven wool covering replicates the look, texture, and insulating function of original equipment, keeping water cooler on the march exactly as it did for soldiers over 160 years ago.

The canteen body is constructed from durable materials consistent with 19th-century US military field equipment, delivering the authentic weight, silhouette, and finish that discerning collectors and living history participants expect. Period-correct hardware and carry strap details mirror original Union Army canteen design, making this piece equally at home on a display shelf, in a museum-quality collection, or at a battlefield re-enactment event.

Whether you're a Civil War living history re-enactor seeking regulation-compliant Union kit, a collector adding a prized artefact to your display, or a student of American military history wanting a tactile connection to the past, this sky blue wool canteen delivers unmatched period authenticity.
