Civil War Carbine Boot – Leather Saddle Carbine Holder Replica for Reenactment & Collectors

Equip your mount and your kit with the Civil War Carbine Boot — a premium leather saddle carbine holder replica faithfully reproduced from regulation cavalry field equipment used throughout the American Civil War (1861–1865).

The carbine boot was standard issue for Union and Confederate cavalry troopers, providing a secure, saddle-mounted scabbard for carrying a short carbine rifle at the ready while on horseback. Suspended from the saddle rigging, it kept the weapon protected, accessible, and out of the trooper's way during mounted operations — a critical piece of equipment that saw action from Gettysburg to the Shenandoah Valley.

This replica is constructed from genuine leather, shaped and stitched to match the silhouette and mounting configuration of original 1860s pattern cavalry carbine boots. The leather develops a natural patina over time, enhancing its period-authentic appearance whether displayed in a collection or worn in the field at a living history event. Attachment hardware mirrors period-correct fittings, ensuring compatibility with standard Civil War saddle reproductions.

Whether you're a mounted re-enactor completing your Union or Confederate cavalry kit, a serious militaria collector adding authentic accoutrements to a saddle display, or a museum outfitter seeking period-accurate cavalry equipment, this Civil War carbine boot delivers the craftsmanship and historical accuracy the subject demands.
